MIPS Promoting Interoperability 2019 Rule Change

$247.00
$257.00

You must start your MIPS Promoting Interoperability (PI) performance period or you risk earning NO POINTS in the completely overhauled category (which accounts for 25% of your MIPS score).

If you don’t, you can bet on a relatively poor MIPS score that could place your practice at risk for negative payment adjustments.

There’s not much time left.

It’s urgent you take action immediately.

The new MIPS PI changes for the patient engagement and CEHRT performance category have significant technical, workflow, and training challenges that need to be implemented as soon as possible.

This is where physician and MACRA expert, Michael Stearns, MD, CPC, CFPC, CRC, can help you. During this a 90-minute online training session, Dr. Stearns will walk you through the 2019 MIPS Promoting Interoperability changes step-by-step. What you learn during this training will help you avoid the very real possibility of scoring zero points in the PI category.

Here are just a few of the MIPS Promoting Interoperability reporting tools and strategies you’ll receive during this 90-minute online training:

  • Don’t let the mandatory use of 2015 CEHRT trip you up and drive your score down
  • Use the new performance scoring methodology to your benefit
  • Determine whether you qualify for a hardship exception and avoid reporting
  • Accurately capture and report the two new optional e-Prescribing measures
  • Increase your chances of receiving a significant MIPS positive payment adjustment
  • Earn a portion of the MIPS exceptional performance fund
  • Avoid reporting removed base measures due to new rules
  • Master attestation requirement changes to head off simple errors
  • And so much more…

IMPORTANT: Even if you haven’t been required to report MIPS in previous years because of your specialty, you might have to now.

In 2019, in addition to the medical specialties previously required to report, Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, Qualified speech-language pathologists, Qualified audiologists, Clinical psychologists, and Registered dietitian or nutrition professionals are required to submit MIPS data. If you are one of these new specialty types in a group practice with physicians, you are REQUIRED to report PI data, unless you report as an individual.

This session will address the advantage and disadvantages of reporting as a group, as an individual, or as both, in particular given the challenges with PI this year.

You work hard throughout the year, and it would be a shame if Medicare reimbursement was cut when you could have avoided it.

Don’t wait another minute, register for this online training today.
