If you’re managing and accessing the Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System records through your practitioner’s login, you’re not complying with the requirements of CMS. The rules of CMS strictly forbid second parties to use logins of their providers to perform any action in PECOS, no matter if you are authorizing, updating, managing, or verifying your information.
The proper way to operate is with a surrogacy system through which you can work on someone else’s behalf while using your login. This system comes with strict guidelines which help with compliance and proper completion. However, this process can be extremely complex.
This is why we’ve decided to give you the help you need to go through this process.
How We Can Help
At Training Leader, we have several enrollment experts that can help you with this process. We have an established online training course that lasts 90 minutes and will help you learn how PECOS connection requests are set up as well as how you can gain your surrogacy access.
After the course, you will also know how to easily and successfully manage several practitioner accounts and platforms while ensuring that you are fully compliant the whole time. Additionally, you will be able to do this with a single login.
