The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requests Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) review revisions for cost reporting periods ending on or after December31, 2016, according to the Medicare Provider Reimbursement Manual updates given.

Special Notes: Transmittal 13, dated February 2017, is being rescinded and replaced by Transmittal 14, dated March 2017, to change the effective date from “cost reporting periods ending on or after September 30, 2016,” to “cost reporting periods ending on or after December 31, 2016.” The only other change in this transmittal is the Julian date for the ECR specification date on page 29-504 that has changed from “2016274” to “2016366”. All other information remains the same.
